The life of peasants/farmers in Bangladesh is a sad tale f poverty and misery. They pass their days in wants and distress all the year round. They live from hand to mouth. They often go without food. In the past a peasant of Bangladesh led a happy and contented life. He cultivated the soil and grew abundant paddy and vegetables. He had no wants of anything.

A village fair is an affair in rural Bangladesh. It is generally held on the occasion of some religious festivals or some local important events. It is an occasion for show, sale various goods and entertainments. Some fair last for a day or two and some for days together. Men, women and children eagerly wait for the day.

Empowerment of women in Bangladesh

Empower means the process of giving power or authority to the powerless. Empowerment of women is a process through which women in general and a poor woman in particular gets the opportunity to join the work force and contribute to family income and interfere on family as well as social affairs.

In past women were segregated from out of home productive work. They were kept within the four walls. The hearth became the place for women.  The job of women was cooking, cleaning, washing, giving birth and rearing children. In Bangladesh position of the women is very humiliating. Women are the worst suffers.

Compulsory primary education in Bangladesh

The meaning of compulsory primary education is that all the children up to the age of 10 must complete their education up to the level of class five. Its purpose is to the impart knowledge of reading, writing and simple arithmetic.

If the citizens of a country are given right type of education, they will be able to solve the economic, social and political problems of their country. Moreover it will not be easy for the opportunist self-seekers to exploit them. Hence all the children of a country like Bangladesh must be given education up to certain level. Therefore, universal primary education has become a vital issue.

Computer use in Bangladesh

 The word ‘Computer’ refers to an instrument that computes and does various calculations. Essentially a computer performs three functions. It receives data, processes data by various computations and then emits data. In a word computer does wonders. Modern life cannot be imagined without a computer. It serves man in ways that cannot be counted. In Bangladesh computers are used in different fields successfully.

Cricket of Bangladesh

The game of cricket is originally an English game. England is the real home of this game. It is very interesting, but costly. Only a few years ago football was the most popular game of Bangladesh. But in the recent years the game of cricket dethroned it. Now, it is played all over the world.

Generally the cricket ground is round like a circle. Two wooden bats, a ball, two sets of wickets and stamps are needed to play this game. The wickets are pitched in the middle of the field at a distance of 22 yards. Each team consists of eleven players. They are classified as batsman, bowler, all rounder and wicket keeper. The contest may be five day test match or one day matches. There are also three days or four day league matches. The more scoring side is declared the winner.

Tree plantation, that means planting tree more and more.  Without trees it is not possible to lead a happy and peaceful life.  More suitable for the growth and development of forest is lands in the upper valley of a river. But Bangladesh is a country of lower reverie. That is why, it has no rich forest resources. Forest resources constitute with the forest Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bhawal, Madhupur, and the Sundarbans in Bangladesh.
